These are three poems that I wrote in an introspective state where I was preoccupied with the idea of devotion and how it related to identity. Being a young queer woman, I find the way labels define people very interesting, especially when referencing religious devotion. In my own life, I have never been alligned with religion but the way people are infatuated with it was really fascinating so it quickly became a common topic for my work. Besides that, I also write a lot about my own experiences, being that my memory, my feelings, my confusions, ectetera. I often relate defining myself as a sort of societal domestication, which also allows for dogs to become a big theme in my work.

Creativity to me means that I am drawing inspiration from the world by abstracting it. To be creative is to take things at face value and turn them on their heads, and to be a creative, someone defined by this lived passion, is to constantly act towards innovation and expression.
