Summer’s Last Bloom

Chaeeun O.

Watercolor and colored pencils on paper

  • In this artwork, I used the trumpet creeper, whose flower language includes ‘waiting.’ Through it, I wanted to express that I am waiting for the moment I dearly miss. The flower blooms briefly yet beautifully, and I hoped to convey that same feeling of longing and anticipation within the fading days of summer.

  • I believe that creativity is about generating new ideas, combining existing things in new ways, expressing them in one’s own style, and stepping outside the usual boundaries to try something different.
