I wanted to capture a feeling of being trapped by technology. Of being held down and repressed by the millions of standards social media platforms have created. That sort of filtered view of it all using soft lighting on a harsh scene, uncomfortable posing and a violent depiction but censoring it with wires and glitches, turning a face of pain and hiding it with a fake smile, a pretty moon to distract you from the problems below it. I just followed that feeling of frustration that comes from constant media illiteracy and filtered worlviews being the new norm because of social media, from the scketch in my sketchbook up to the final rendering I wanted to capture that feeling of being trapped by the filter.

Creativity means to be free to me. Creativity leads to worlds upon worlds in peoples heads, it lets us fly away from our problems to a safer place a more beautiful world where we can say what we want without being scared. It means being able to express myself.
