The Art of Conflict Resolution

Harvey L.

Wooden wheels, pencil, and acrylic paint

  • These two unique painting's themes, Cooperation and conflict. I added textures, color, light, and shadows to this piece with love. I’ve used wooden wheels, acrylic, and water down the paint. The wood panel’s grain gives a natural feel, which opposes the bright, occasionally conflicting, acrylic hues. The artwork’s sections show a smooth mix of colors and shapes layered together (cooperation) and areas where lines are harsh, overlap a lot, or end suddenly (conflict). The visual conflict converts the harmonious circle into a tiny world of human ties, where both peace and conflict are vital to a complex whole. This artwork is special to me because my reason for existence was realized as I painted this piece. My purpose, I realized, is to add color to the world. I want to make a big, bright, colorful painting that represents war and energy. A confident person would love this perfect art piece.

  • To me, being creative means using my imagination to explore new ideas and express myself through art. It means experimenting, making mistakes, and discovering unexpected results. Creativity lets me show emotions, tell stories, and turn ordinary materials into something meaningful, original, and personal to my own experience.
