The Glass Garden

This piece began with the idea that some things inside us just don’t fade away just because we want them to. Glass won’t shatter. Not on its own. It stays sharp and patient, growing in spaces we don’t notice. I wanted to write about the type of pain that is masked in beauty, until you realize it cuts you every time you touch it. The glass garden is a place the narrator returns to, even if it harms them, because it’s the only place that feels familiar and understands them. Pain shapes us into what we become, sharpening us in a way softness could never. Yet there is always a choice. You can shatter the glass, but only if you truly want to end the cycle. This piece became a way to express the pain and beauty between holding on and finally letting go of the garden.

Creativity is about seeing the path beyond a map, while others only see the cliff. It's about the freedom of being able to put together ideas in new ways and being able to put your imagination into something beautiful.
