• Artist Statement

  Cherry pits to me have always felt like they are nothing but problems to deal with. They keep you from truly enjoying the sweetness of the fruit by providing an inconvenience to your life. I wrote this piece about the helplessness of having a problem thrust upon you by another person and the loneliness that comes with being taken advantage of. TW: references to sexual assault.

• Creative Statement

  Creativity to me is having trust in an idea no matter how obscure or confusing it may be. I believe the most creative people are those who are willing to follow their visions to places that feel unfamiliar and even scary for the purpose of art.
