I wanted to portray the struggle of being authentic, because in our society it's really hard to be yourself, because there are so many expectations from others and people just love putting labels on you without seeing a full picture. Newspaper represents the pressure that people put you through and butterfly symbolizes freedom and authenticity. My message here is that being authentic is the superpower that not everyone can have, because of the fear of being judged, but once people let themselves be themselves they will realize that it's a key of happiness. Had so much fun making this art piece, I was just going with the flow.

Creativity to me is freedom. It allows me to be myself and express my inner world through art. I love how creativity doesn't have right or wrong labels. Creativity is what makes us humans unique.
