Tunnel Vision

Marcus T.

  • An experimental film using a tunnel to represent a tumultuous state of mind. I wanted to use dramatic editing and sound design to help express what I was feeling like and also play around with color grading in a way I had never before. My first draft was just the visuals with music, but then I got the idea to add these fragmented voice overs, which made the theme more clear and cohesive. Overall, it was a very cathartic experience in making the film and was a style and purpose I had never tried before (I usually like making more silly and narrative work). The hope was to use a tunnel to represent my state of mind and to hopefully evoke some type of emotion and mood in the audience, and maybe some people could resonate. Hope you enjoy! :)

  • For me, creativity is coming up with unexpected or interesting ideas to help convey a message. In terms of filmmaking, I think creativity is being able to showcase my unique voice by crafting films that offer something new whether visually or its overall message. Unfortunately, creativity can be quite hard!
