I created this piece to illustrate the struggle of holding yourself together during times of distress in front of loved ones, but still breaking under the emotional pressure. This poem is written as a letter to that loved one, and I imagined what I would say to loved ones of my own if and when I was going through similar struggles, which I incorporated into this poem.

Creativity is something integral to my identity; it's a means of self-expression that brings people together in a powerful collective voice. Through creativity, I gain a better understanding of myself and the voice I want to share with others.
