This 15x20'' piece depicts a cyberpunk city seen from street level, where a single winding road appears to lead straight toward a towering structure glowing at its peak. The perspective is intentionally disorienting, meant to place the viewer in the position of someone at the “bottom,” looking upward toward a distant idea of success. This is reminiscent to how in our capitalist society, people in the lower and middle classes often grow up believing that there is one narrow path to “making it,” even if the destination is more illusion than reality. The glowing tower symbolizes that promise: though bright, enticing, and seemingly attainable, yet ultimately is just light pollution from the floating cars above. By exaggerating the city’s curves, colors, and distortions in 5 point perspective, the piece captures the tension between aspiration and illusion, and the way ambition can warp our sense of direction, scale, and even truth.

To me, creativity means being able to dream up new ideas that haven’t been seen before or have been scarcely explored. Creativity also means making any existing concepts/objects/etc. more interesting by adding elements that can intrigue an audience in unexpected ways.
