Violin Concerto

This is the second movement of my violin concerto, which tells the story of an adventurer facing life’s challenges, learning from them, and returning transformed. The concerto is broken into three movements, and this slower middle section explores themes of satisfaction, contentment, and reflection. I used slow pacing and full, moving harmonies to find a moment of serenity in this complex journey. While the outer movements are full of tension, this section is made up of soft melodic timbre and harmony. This movement was inspired by and has furthered my relationship with reflecting and finding beauty and happiness in everyday life.

To me, creativity is the art of transforming emotion and imagination into sound. It means finding meaning and using expressing it through harmony, timbre, melody, and rhythm. It’s how I connect ideas, people, and emotions in ways that words can’t.
