This was something that was initially for a school assignment, but I thought it showcased my writing well. I wanted my submission to be something that showed a part of me, namely: my bravery, even in the face of fear, as well as my determination to do anything I set my mind to. Although it was a diffcult decision, I decided it would be better to apply for this award, rather than let the fear of failure stop me from achieving something that I consider to be important.

Creativity: in my opinion, is the freedom to express yourself. For me writing is my creative outlet. It's been something that's hard for me at times, but it's always worth it. Creativity means happiness, sadness, love, hope. It can mean anything, but it's been important to me for inspiring others.
