Where Light Remains

Naia H.

Digtial art - Procreate

  • I made this piece in honor of Makayla Raines, a person I look up to. She was an amazing, selfless person. She cared purely for the cause of saving animals, not money or fame. She was a bright star among darkness in this world. My art symbolizes the idea that a person like her can live on through the impact they made, the hearts they touched, and the people they inspired. The star in this piece symbolizes that a star’s light is still visible in the sky long after it dies. The universal arms holding it, symbolize that everything in our world is recycled matter, the stardust we are all made of will still be here long after we are gone, the universe remembers. Einstein once said; “A human being is part of a whole, called by us the ‘Universe’–a part limited in time and space.”

  • In a world were it’s easy to get an immediate answer when you’re stuck or not even need to think of your own ideas, creativity is getting stuck but using your resourcefulness to get through it, or the ability to conjure original ideas and make them a reality yourself.
