• Artist Statement

  In creating this artwork, ”Rising Through Reflections”, I used vibrant and bold colors to represent the world’s positive aspects, along with struggles untold. Much like the water’s surface in the landscape, people often appear bright and cheerful, reflecting their surroundings, the ideal, to fit in. However, beneath that surface, struggles and darkness may reside, like the the shadows cast by the grass. Yet, just as the tall grass grows and rises above the water, people possess the strength to overcome these shadows and thrive.

  To me, creativity means being able to express myself or my thoughts that reflects how I perceive the world and who I am, through a way, such as art, that can be accessible to myself and others.
