This is a poem and homage to my Asian American heritage — how I straddle the line between my home in California and my extended family, my heritage, in China.

I started writing this piece in English class last year, and I only got as far as a first draft.

I’ve always loved subjective opinions and perspectives. After all, “Art is in the eye of the beholder”.

Over the last year I have been exploring the art of going crazy, and allowing myself to dismantle my self-made barriers of thought.

versātus was born out of a challenge to think beyond conventional subjects, a reminder that creativity thrives in simplicity.

This poem is one about the duality of hating yourself.

This artwork was created with the idea of justification in mind, where if you justify doing one bad thing then you will keep doing worse and worse things.

Writing about my grandmother’s experience being scammed has always been really difficult.

I sit on my back porch, hoping for change. I’ve always wondered if the universe knows me.

I wrote this piece with our future in mind, we often see apocalyptic scenes as something in fiction but this apocalypse is far from that.

My piece is one of my favorites I have written with MSA.

Secondary initially came from the silly question of if in the situation that a clone exists, would it be considered human?

Writing about my characters was so exciting. I have never written a screenplay before, but the idea just came to me.

A Day’s Worth is a collection of three poems representing the progression of time in, naturally, the span of a single day.

A true story of the strong women in my life, the cycles we have broken, and the traditions we have replaced them with.

DEATH DRIVE CHANT came in the throes of escaping heat, the beginnings of fall, creative burnout, California’s fire season, and general death rattle.

Originally I wrote ”The Fall” as a story describing a man falling in an endless void, told by a funny and witty third-person narrator.
