  • I had an idea in my head for a long time, about a night that I remember very vividly. It was a middle school dance, one that most have probably forgotten. I couldn't get it out of my head so I wrote down a dialogue. When I learned about this competition, I wanted to submit something so I added more. This is meant to be something that others can relate to, specifically teenage girls who have struggled with similar insecurities to the one's I describe in this piece.

  • To me, it means making my ideas and projects based on my unique views on the world come to life, whether or not I decide to share them with other people.
