• Artist Statement

  This artwork explores the idea of influence and manipulation and how easily people can become entangled in the presence of others. The larger figure represents a person whose power draws others in, while the smaller figures below symbolize those who fall under that influence, perhaps without realizing it. The cosmic background and flowing colors suggest that these connections reach beyond the physical world. They make their way through emotion, thought, and identity. Through this piece, I wanted to convey the importance of awareness. The awareness of carefully choosing who we allow into our lives. No one wishes to be controlled or used, yet sometimes the pull of certain people can feel inevitable, almost beautiful. This artwork is a reminder to pause, to look closer, and to recognize when admiration turns into manipulation.
