• Artist Statement

  This piece reflects the positive experiences I have had during my childhood. Inside, I incorporated foods from my Taiwanese culture and the Asian markets I visited. I wanted to convey this idea that even as I grow older, I still hold my roots and memories from the past close to me. These things continue to surround me and reflect part of my identity.

• Creative Statement

  To me creativity is about creating something unique to you. The ability to come up with innovative new ideas that in turn allow you to express yourself. I think that being passionate, original and imaginative especially in things like your art pieces is the essence of being creative.
