• Artist Statement

  While this is my first project that I’ve done in oil paint, my goal was to encapsulate the paranoia in today’s world regarding personal safety by adding elements of eeriness and nostalgia. The contrast that you may notice in this picture illustrates a sense of grief and mystery. Overall, I wanted my painting to tell a general story and idea while still having room for interpretation by all viewers.
