The Fey Theatre is a mixed media, found item art piece. The trees are made of clay, tape, metal wire, and upcycled materials, while the animals and flowers are made of felt. The theatre was originally an antique and was reclaimed and transformed around the theme of nature. Along with the sculpture and felt the theatre has a slit where an ipad can go to allow it to work as a real cinema would. The Fey Theatre is meant to give the feeling of wonder and whimsy that comes with a child that finds something in the woods. A feeling that I experienced throughout my childhood while exploring the woods around my house. It was important for me to capture what I felt when I stumbled upon a place reclaimed by nature. I hope you feel the peace nature has brought me.

Creativity is how I'm able to be my honest, unfiltered self, safe from outside expectations. It gives me a safe place to feel how I feel, messiness and all. I do this by creating art around my characters, sculptures, or paintings. Transporting me and the viewer into how I feel.
