• Artist Statement

  While learning and performing "Già il sole dal Gange," I was deeply inspired by the poetic imagery within the text. The lyrics’ vivid portrayal of nature, especially the rising sun and golden dawn, resonated with me. Understanding the meaning allowed me to connect more personally with the music expressively. This piece pushed me to focus on the nuances of phrasing and tone color to reflect the beauty of the dawn it describes. Interpreting through the text helped me grow in bringing emotional depth and visual imagery into my singing.

  Creativity is a way for me to pursue my passion for music, while also exploring new avenues of thinking. It is a way for me to express myself and exercise my mind in ways I don't get to otherwise!
