While this was a school project on charcoal composition, I felt I needed to channel my childhood imagination into the piece. I digitally crafted the piece on procreate, rearranging the lights, darks, and textures to make a cohesive composition. Despite using a hand reference (b&w) for the hand in the top right corner, I drew the ribbon, dragon, ballerina figure, ink-splotch from my original imagination. I'm mostly proud of this piece since it's entirely my own. Even as a child, I was often ambitiously creative and wanted to always challenge the lengths of my mind with my ability to create which I wished to integrate within my piece's personality.

Creativity is more than just expression. It tells a complex story through the loops of shapes, or lack thereof, nuanced with harshness of lines, blurred and refined by the limits of your imagination, and uses color and light to make people resonate.
