At this moment in our country, undocumented immigrants are being targeted, threatened and stripped of their humanity. Our farmworking communities specifically are being denied their rights and the overall contributions they make to the American people. For decades, farmworkers have served as a backbone to this country, they grow our food, feed our families and help fuel our society. I created this piece to pay homage to farmworkers, day laborers and every undocumented person that feels unseen, underappreciated and overlooked.
