"Light" is a song I wrote about creativity as a powerful and perspective-changing means of self discovery. At the time of writing it, I was feeling isolated from the people around me, and so I turned to creativity. I had come back to music and writing after having for the most part lost them as central pillars of my life. The realization of beauty in art helped me orient myself and pursue that same beauty in my life–writing this song was a part of that journey. It depicts the power of creation in the midst of an emptiness: the realization of the potential and capability one has to find awesome beauty.
