I took this photo during the 2025 Dia De Los Muertos Event in Oakland. As part-chicana myself, I have always loved and enjoyed the lowrider culture . I think the halo effect around the car adds to the allure, and the colors pop so well with the background. The cars themselves are pieces of art and ingenuity, and it would be an injustice not to appreciate them!

To me, creativity means using our own minds create beauty and solutions in the world. Creativity in photography means thinking outside the box, utilizing what we have, and creating pieces we are proud of.
