Magical Girl came from a recent interest in magical girls. I was into the captivating, sparkly transformations from a normal person to a cutesy kind of superhero! Then I wondered, what does the public (the crowds of people in the show, watching them) think about the person underneath the persona? After taking some thought into account, I wondered; Is it a burden, a blessing, or just a regular job? To contrast with the beaming smile, I gave them an expression of fatigue. Another detail is the possible hardships that person could have: Masking. It’s something that a lot of (neurodivergent specifically) people do to appear normal to the public, it’s like trying to give yourself a more “mainstream” vibe to yourself so that people will not be disturbed. After masking comes a wave of fatigue, because trying to keep up a confident and upbeat persona is quite draining.

I’ve been drawing as a hobby since I was in kindergarten. My art style is inspired by anime and I dream as an artist to make my own stories, whether they’re animated or comics, I want to share my art with the world and give people something to relate to.
