My song "Maria" was made as an outlet for all of the problems I was going through at school. Maria started out as a song about just one person, but quickly evolved into so much more than that. “Maria” is a number of people and events that made me feel like it was the end of the world. I started writing “Maria” when I was in the 6th grade and it came to its final form in 8th grade. Throughout those three years, singing this song was exactly what I needed during each rough spot of my life. Now that I'm older, I've become somewhat grateful for the people who I never thought I'd be grateful for. Thanks to them, I got to write the song that has helped me through countless experiences, and now I want to help others going through similar things with my songs, including this one.

Creativity is the ability to think of countless ideas, and turn them into a reality. It is being able to move past obstacles you have in your creative process and making something that you're proud of, and if you're not proud, trying again.
