My piece depicts how consumers and the larger market are often manipulated by business entities or larger corporations. The hands act as the external entity that is controlling the different parts to a consumer's life, depicted by the chess board. Just like the strategic game that must be played during chess, the business world also requires much game-playing with the complex dynamics between individual consumers, corporations, and the larger economic systems of the world. Through different materials like the hot glue holding down the red string, I am to continue showing how the entire world is very much interconnected.

To me, creativity is the willingness to explore unconventional solutions, both in art and in everyday life. Creativity means being able to see possibilities where others may see limitations. With my artistic background, I try to channel creativity in my work, whether that's on the canvas or during school projects.
