Pictured is my friend, staring out at the ocean while on a day trip in SF. He's not posing or trying to look cool, he's just being himself-- lost in his own head. Whenever he drifts moments like that, I always feel the need to capture it. I really enjoy taking pictures of things that feel like "life,' images that don't require a deliberate setup or performance. Quiet pictures of life just as they are, the way I want to remember them. This picture felt purely candid to me, and it fit my personal criteria perfectly.

Creativity, to me, is gathering my ideas and little pieces of myself, and giving them a place to exist outside of my head. It's how I express things that I can't fully articulate with words, and the way I turn thoughts, feelings, and memories into something I can share proudly.
