I made this in my freshman art class, during a study of values. I haven’t used much oil pastel before, and it was a challenging medium to work with, but I Am really proud of how it came out.

Creativity is how I can express my thoughts and emotions, without needing to speak, or write, or even have someone in the receiving end. I create to better understand myself and to exercise the part of my brain that yearns to invent rather than solve for x.
