This piece of artwork is based off of a photo I took while I was in the Tenderloin, San Francisco. That day is was gray, gloomy, and a little foggy so I chose to use only black and white because I feel it really captures the essence of that neighborhood. What I really like about my drawing is the fact whoever sees it, comes up with their own story about what they think is happening. Stippling is a method of art that I only really started using last year and it has really grown on me. At first it seems daunting with all of the dots you have to draw but once the artwork comes together, that feeling is worth all of the time.

To me creativity means expression and happiness. I find myself the most happy when I am able to create things and even the idea of thinking of new things to make or draw makes me excited. It’s a way for people to express interests and love and passion.
