“Silent Suffering,” a monochromatic drawing, reflects the fear and anxiety imposed by society’s oppressive forces. A threatening man silences a crying girl by forcefully covering her mouth, symbolizing the suppression of voice, emotion, and truth. The snake pendant around his neck, a traditional symbol of fear, intensifies the sense of danger and dominant control over the girl. Through stark contrasts and emotional realism, the piece captures the quiet agony of being unheard.
