Me being a young Black man from the Bay Area, I wanted to create a piece that carried amazing symbolism for young Black men of the Bay Area. first I really got inspired from the California state flag. I felt like the bear on the California flag would be perfect for the main subject. Then I decided I wanted the bear to wear popular streetwear clothing that resembled the clothes that me & other Black man like to wear in the Bay Area, but a I also wanted a way to incorperate the red & green colors of the CA flag. Finally I gave the bear an Oakland A´s hat because of how much I saw the hat being worn from the people around me. overall I believe this Art piece is an accurate symbol for the young Black men of the Bay Area.

To me creativity means to have the power and the ability to create anything your heart desires, by using only your two hands and intuition. I believe creativity is used to take multiple regular things from everyday life and combine them together to make something new to the human mind.
