This is a song I wrote for a songwriting exercise in which you choose an object and write a song about it. I chose tape and found that such a mundane, everyday object expanded into a metaphor for a very real relationship issue I was having at the time. This song is about giving your all to someone else, even when it's killing you in the process. It explores the complexities of having a friendship with someone whom you love and would do anything for, but you know is taking advantage of you.

Creativity is the means of expressing oneself through a process of pushing boundaries and harboring self-growth. It means coming with a curious, open mind to explore and understand the world and oneself. It's a form of freedom, as it cannot be regulated, limited, or defined.
