My art is named TIE WING. My art work was made out of clay and underglaze. I made my artwork a wing because it is a wing from a movie my little cousin once loved. It was his favorite ship and he passed 2 years ago around this time so I made this wing in ceramics class to honor him. The process for this art work was me cutting out a whole bunch of hexagons and then putting them together with a technique named score and slip. This is my first clay art work because I asked my teacher if I could make it because it was around the time my little cousin passed away. I personally think I honored him very well because the art came out wonderful and it’s the first time I’ve been really proud of myself in a long time.

Creativity is so many different things, but the most important thing, is when you feel free. Creativity is when you feel like you’re out in the middle of the ocean, or space or even if you’re in a lava pool. Creativity to me. Is everything.
