Violin Performance of Henryk Wieniawski's Polonaise de Concert Op 4 in D Major

I learned this piece after learning Wieniawski’s Violin Concerto No. 2. The pieces have different character but are similarly technically rigorous. As I began learning this piece, I was also trying to build better life habits in general, which started by waking up just fifteen minutes earlier to be able to warm up and practice tricky technical passages in the morning before school. My performance of this piece symbolizes a culmination of conscious and consistent work and improvement not only in my violin playing but also in my life. I found that the work I did learning the violin concerto previously aided my learning of this piece, reinforcing the idea that learning music is a process that builds on itself.

Creativity in classical music doesn’t seem as straightforward as other expressions, but I believe that creativity includes working within bounds and restrictions to create something that flourishes regardless, making an impact through conveying emotions or messages.
