Where The Kite Wanders

Moses C.

An old Nikon camera

  • In this moment captured by my camera, my younger cousin stands at the edge of an open field, releasing a bright kite into the sky. I was really drawn to how her imagination almost seems to lift with it- representing how the mind and imagination of a child wanders as freely as a kite in the wind. In this image, the kite becomes more than a toy; it represents the gentle drift of curiosity that all children have, a nostalgic feeling that many felt when they were children. This photo reminds me of those small specific joys that we often forget, such as running through the grass without a care in the world, and an imagination with no limit.

  • In my mind, creativity means freedom. The freedom to express thoughts and emotions to the outside world. To me it also means doing something special, something that people haven't done or seen before.
