"The Little Things" is a solo piano piece about finding joy in the small things in life.

I am fascinated by the fungi that inhabit the planet. I wanted to write a song that encompasses my love for fungi and comments on a relevant topic occurring.

This piece was composed during May to June of 2022, and was initially only meant to be for solo piano.

The piece is the second movement of a string quartet I wrote titled CGDAE. It is in the Dorian mode, which gives off a sort of hopeful yet serious tone.
