Uganda Currency: We The Culture
This art project reimagines Ugandan currency as a vibrant celebration of the nation’s rich cultural heritage.
Monster City
Seeing the bodies of dead animals on the road reminded me of a scene in the novel series Warrior Cats.
My Herbal Household
This piece was drawn alongside a narrative that I had written about Chinese herbal medicine in the context of cross-cultural medicine.
Open heart
My painting depicts little, stylized versions of myself sitting in a realistic heart.
HANDS OFF!
Our piece, ”HANDS OFF!” is a visual commentary on the rise of U.S. legislation restricting women’s autonomy.
Raw reflections
My artwork is a striking collection of three expressive portraits, each showcasing unique emotional intensity.
Mental Space
“Mental Space” is an acrylic piece that examines societal restrictions on women. It explores the psychic landscape of a waitress, who dreams of her life in another universe.
Help
This artwork was inspired by an essay that I recently wrote in which the topic was about how even though people strive to show kindness and respect towards the ones they love, but because it is in the human nature to be cruel, people often act inhumane and emotionally harm the ones they love.
A Glimpse in Time
“Water holds memories” is something I’ve been taught in all of my science classes.
Food for Thought
My piece is a self portrait with a twist-- food! It shows who I am by presenting just how complicated and singular that I, as a person, can be.
Jump Ready: Opa’s Memory as a 101st Airborne Eagle
My grandfather served in the U.S. Army from 1958 to 1962 as a 101st airborne screaming eagle.
Meditations on Death
I specifically chose to include two sculls, a symbol of death, to juxtapose with flowers and twigs, symbols of life,to represent decay and the process of death.
