I would like readers to know about my two pieces is how I showed my vulnerability in both of them.

The story depicts a dystopian future where the Hyperion Dominion, led by Supreme Leader Trump, rules the former US, having wiped citizens' memories to enforce silent compliance.

Taking things from my life and turning it into art is really important to me.

I have always been intrigued by ghost stories, and the concept of being forced to stay in one place for all eternity, everything changing while you remain completely unchanged was a driving theme for this piece.

We Fail to Notice is about the quiet, persistent pain that goes unnoticed day in and day out.

We all have that one person who came into our life and taught us how to open our eyes, but then left the world silent.

It's set in the 1950's and about two boys who fell in love with each other, deciding to date despite the hatred on gay people during that time period which did cause a lot of hate crimes like written in my story.
