I made this piece based off my own experience as a black girl who plays guitar.

This is my cat pepper who I love dearly.

This work references transit statues and sky burials, both are death rituals showing that no one is safe from death and rotting.

The inspiration behind this piece is how growth and death are opposites, but still harmonize together.

I want viewers to know that my artwork represents the beauty of nature.

The Cost of Advancement explores the discomfort between human innovation and the natural world, but more specifically the sacrifices human make while reaching industrial goals.

I wanted to bring awareness to how sea life is affected by climate change and human pollution.
