Sonata No.10 G maj Op.14 No.2 - Beethoven
Piano performance on a piece I've worked on for over 2 months.
Robert Schumann - Cello Concerto in a minor
Out of all the cello concertos, my favorite is Schumann's cello concerto.
Rachmaninoff Prelude In G Minor
The most interesting part of playing the piece was phrasing, especially of the middle section. When beginning to learn the phrasing, I tried copying Lugansky's interpretation, but it became obvious that that would not work; I'm not him.
A Soft Place To Land
Although I don't have much experience with editing software, I love to harmonize and to sing, which I've learned through countless years of rehearsals for theater productions.
Wildflower
Billie Eilish is an artist whose emotions bleed out of her songs through her soft voice and lyrics. While her life was very different from mine, her lyrics still manage to touch me, which speaks to her ability to turn her experiences into means for art and connection.
Can't Catch Me now Cover
I was having a normal day in my bed when I saw that there was a song released for the hunger games franchise.
Sibelius Violin Concerto mov. 1
I chose to showcase the opening and the ending of the Sibelius Violin Concerto, the finale being my favorite section.
Applemania by Aleksey Igudesman
Applemania is a contemporary solo-violin piece composed by Aleksey Igudesman.
Solo of As by Stevie Wonder backed by ‘Til Dawn Acapella
I sing As in my acapella group Til Dawn, and Stevie Wonder’s “As” has become one of those songs that hits deeper the more I work on it.
O del mio dolce ardor
To prepare for my performance, I work with my voice instructor (of 3 years) for weeks beforehand (often in preparation for SF-BAC NATS Classical singing competition, held annually).
Take, O Take Those Lips Away by Amy Beach
Like many art songs, this piece is about love and heartbreak; however, the poem (originally by Shakespeare) lacks explicit explanation, leaving the piece open to the listener's interpretation.
Prelude in D Major, Op.23 No.4 by Sergei Rachmaninoff
Studying Rachmaninoff's Prelude was a more intricate and detailed process than it may seem to the audience.
Chopin Etude Op. 10 No. 4
My work is my performance of Chopin’s Étude Op. 10 No. 4, a piece that demands technical precision as well as emotional intensity.
Moment’s Notice
This piece is an existing piece by John Coltrane entitled “Moment’s Notice” where I play the memory and interpret the solo and improvise over the tune on my own.
Losin' Streak
I feel like this song is relevant to today's times in its commentary, and it's by an artist that I absolutely love. Hope you enjoy!
My New Philosophy
I chose "My New Philosophy" to show my raucous but serious personality, and I interpreted the songs with funny timing and drastic tone changes.
Heitor Villa Lobos - Choros No.5 "Alma Brasileria"
Choros No.5 "Alma Brasileria" (Brazilian Soul) is part of Heitor Villa Lobos's Choros, which means "weeping" in Portuguese.
Marimba solo : Bach cello suite no.3 Prelude
Bach never wrote a single note for the marimba—hardly surprising, since the instrument is one of the newest voices in the musical world.
