I was inspired by brutalist architecture, especially Kim Holfermand’s "Babel "series, which captures the unassuming yet captivating interior of a Danish water tower.

This piece is about the endangered Galapagos Penguin, depicting the top half as a skeleton looking out into the distance, longing for the other penguins in its colony.

Mom, What’s for Dinner?
Having found inspiration in the effects of the Fukushima Nuclear Disaster on Japan’s fishing economy, I created my work with hopes to highlight how some of its impacts relate to the bigger prevalence of deteriorating food quality and pollution in the present day.
